Nanotechnology is focused as the advanced technology to lead the 21st century, and the studies of chemical & biological engineers are currently directed in various fields including semiconductor, display, pharmaceuticals, medical technologies and advanced materials. The technology leads the development of very large scale integrated circuit by using the most important nano patterning technology.
In the age of information society, the development of new semiconductor technology as single molecular transistor, and development and commercialization of new display technology of organic electroluminescence (organic EL). Also, the technology of measuring and controlling of information by atomic level manipulation is developed into the level that could be utilized to provide medical diagnosis and treatment.
Technologies, and the study will open the way to substantiate the future technologies in our actual living.
